About Kate

I became a qualified member of the Master Photographers Association before leaving college in 1999. Kate Jackson Photo came to life in 2001 and since then I've worked for some wonderful people picking up one or two awards along the way.

I was introduced to Photography as a young Graphic Designer. During an extended gap year I filled sketchbooks with portraits of people I met as I travelled across South East Asia and India. Portraits seemed far more interesting than landscapes as they were somehow more vital and alive. It made me notice the beauty and uniqueness of each person.

After a few years of teaching (English and Japanese) I decided to get back to Photography in a big way. Weddings and Portraits was the obvious choice.

I feel motivated and excited by things of beauty and/or character. This with a love of people provides me with a recipe for pure delight at a lovely wedding or in the company of beautiful children.
