I have been working in Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire for many years and have become very familiar with some of our stunning local wedding venues. Here are a few of them.

Rhinefield House
The Grand Hall is spectacular with the balcony and huge window. There is usually a good indoor solution for wet weather. The grounds of Rhinefield House are astounding with a lake, lawns, mature trees and stone steps.
Lainston House
The rooms at Lainston are spacious and light and the interior decorating will always provide an attractive background for any pictures taken indoors. The grounds of Lainston House are extensive with the mature trees, lawns, cloisters and the stone texture of the church ruins.
Romsey Abbey
Romsey Abbey is my obvious local church and is always wondrous for weddings. There is always a warm and welcome feel to the place and it is wonderfully photogenic. It's easy to get photos of the ceremony in a totally unobtrusive way.
Chewton Glen
This venue is the ultimate in luxury and is always immaculately presented. The interiors are wonderful. The grounds offer mature trees, lawns, cloisters, a lake and stone steps. The beach and sea is another photo opportunity.
Hotel du Vin, Winchester
The rooms are gorgeously decorated and give a cosy feel to any pictures taken indoors. There are lots of wonderful nooks & crannies, and the courtyard provides a sunny drinks reception area allowing us with ample opportunity to grab candid shots of guests.
Tithe Barn, Petersfield
A unique and stunning structure accommodating large numbers of guests with plenty of room. Fascinating flint walls, vivid coloured doors and plenty of room for photography inside on the balcony.
Silks Hotels The White Horse, Romsey
I'm so delighted that, at last, we have such a stunning and convenient location in the heart of Romsey. Its proximity to Romsey's churches and the Abbey make it the perfect choice for a wedding reception.
Careys Manor
The rooms have a warm and elegant feel and the well lit dining room facilitates natural looking photography. It's always easy to get flattering and beautiful pictures whatever the conditions.
The Vyne
The grounds of this National Trust property are extensive with the mature trees, lawns, tree-lined avenues, ornamental lake and the stone texture of the house.
Christchurch Harbour Hotel
A superb venue on the edge of the New Forest with commanding views of the harbour. Recently refurbished to give a luxurious feel. The dining area is beautifully lit to allow natural light photography.
Clock Barn
Set in a beautiful rolling landscape, The Clock Barn at Whitchurch offers a rustic, natural yet comfortable feel. The grounds offer a delightful backdrop for natural photography with a lovely leafy feel.
Cain Manor
The rooms are spacious, light, warm and very photogenic. There is a good indoor solution for wet weather and the gardens are beautifully landscaped.
Winchester Cathedral
It is breathtaking inside and out as you can imagine. The interior has a wealth of photogenic locations and immediately outside there is a choice of stonework, red doors, benches and lawns, to enhance any wedding photography.
Winchester College
Steeped in history, the dining hall is dramatic. The grounds are perfect for photography with the added bonus of cloisters and stone textured walls. The autumn colours are fabulous. It's close to the heart of the city with all its photogenic locations.
Houghton Lodge & Gardens
It's the perfect location for a marquee with its attractive setting on the banks of the River Test. The sweeping lawns, mature trees, and the milky white walls of the house are a photographer's dream.
Exbury Gardens
The ceremony room is spacious and light. Early summer will see vibrant colours of the rhododendrons and the autumn colours are fabulous.
Chilworth Manor
The grounds are impressive with mature trees, lawns and stone steps. Spring will see daffodils and cherry blossom and early summer the rhododendrons.
Westover Hall
An exquisite and unique venue with a breathtaking sea view of the Solent including the Needles and the Isle Of Wight. The rooms are spacious yet comfortable and photography indoors works perfectly here.
The Elvetham
A truly perfect venue with everything you could wish for. It's weatherproof, with all the photography indoors is no problem. The grounds provide mature trees, lawns and a tree lined avenue.
Esseborne Manor
Spring will see beautiful bluebells and cherry blossom and the autumn colours are extraordinary. Extensive grounds with mature trees, lawns together with the creamy smooth texture of the walls. A wonderful homely feel.
Minterne House
A spectacular venue in an unequalled setting in the Cerne valley, Dorset. The grounds are lovely with a lake, the mature trees and lawns. The warm stone texture of the house is unique.
Beaulieu Abbey
In the heart of the New Forest, The Abbey itself is an architectural delight. The quadrangle and Domus complete the graceful and ancient atmosphere. It is spacious and light and will always provide a lovely background for pictures.
The Montagu Arms Hotel
The rooms' comfortable and intimate feel and the interior decorating will always provide a lovely background for any pictures taken indoors. The garden is always delightful with the seasons in evidence according to whatever is in bloom.
Mottisfont Abbey
The grounds of this National Trust property are outstanding with the mature trees, lawns, cloisters and the bridge. Spring will see wondrous wisteria and bluebells and the autumn colours are amazing.
New Place, Shirrell Heath
The 17th century mansion house has a good indoor solution for wet weather. The extensive grounds are marvellous with mature trees, lawns and stone steps.
Elmers Court
An elegant Victorian manor house and very much a New Forest venue. The spacious ballroom is impressive as are the extensive grounds and sea views. My last wedding there was all day rain and the veranda provided shelter with good light for family groups.
Highcliffe Castle
A Georgian castle in a breathtaking location with beach access. One of the most immaculately lit ceremony rooms in the New Forest.
Chantmarle Manor
The rooms are gorgeous and utterly photogenic. The extensive grounds provide everything a photographer could wish for.
Stanwell House
The lovely interior decoration adds instant depth to photographs particularly black and white. The old architectural features of this Lymington hotel offer lots of photogenic settings.
Salisbury Cathedral
As you can imagine, the cathedral is truly magnificent inside and out. The cloisters provide a convenient location for photographs, and immediately outside there is a vast lawn area to facilitate wedding photography.
Combe Manor, Hungerford
I have used the spacious drawing room for group photos on a rainy day and the gardens offer plenty of locations with lawns, trees and seating.
Norton Park
A sleek, modern hotel with luxurious furnishings and access to beautiful grounds and a lake. The hotel lobby area is perfect when the sun is low in the evening.
Trafalgar Park
The whole place is simply heavenly for wedding photography. The Cipriani room with its murals is always good for groups photos in case of wet weather.
